This is the case to protect your ear buds no way to brake a plastic hinge because the top slips onto the ear bud case and it's a very well made. Sure a bit more than others. But anything worth having always is.

Great except...
The case worked great until I wanted to remove my Airpods from the case. The top got stuck on. Nothing would work to separate them. I had to use a rotary tool to cut a hole in the top to push it through, resulting in damage to my airpods charging case. I would recommend a different case.
