FAQ

What is the difference between the MagFlip Wallet (iPhone) and MagFlip Wallet (iPhone/Samsung)?

SUPCASE offers two versions of the MagFlip Wallet:

  • iPhone Version: Compatible with iPhone 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, and 12 series (excluding 13 mini and 12 mini). Attaches directly to any MagSafe-compatible iPhone or case.
  • iPhone/Samsung Universal Version: Compatible with Samsung Galaxy S26, S25, S24, and S23 series, all compatible iPhones listed above, Google Pixel 10 and 10 Pro, and select Moto devices. Includes a magnetic ring adapter for phones and cases without built-in MagSafe magnets.

Both versions have the same card capacity, stand function, RFID blocking, and 3000g magnetic force. The Samsung version costs slightly more because it includes the magnetic ring adapter.

How many cards can the MagFlip Wallet hold?

SUPCASE rates the MagFlip Wallet for 5 cards. In practice, many users report fitting 6 or 7 cards comfortably. The wallet uses a locking mechanism that keeps cards secure during daily use. A small notch at the bottom lets you push cards out easily when needed. One of the five card slots is occupied by the included RFID-blocking card, leaving four open slots by default.

Does the MagFlip Wallet work as a phone stand?

Yes. The MagFlip Wallet folds into a multi-angle phone stand that supports both portrait and landscape viewing. In landscape mode, it is ideal for streaming videos, FaceTime calls, and navigation. In portrait mode, it works well for scrolling social media and reading. The stand lifts the phone several inches off the surface, bringing it closer to eye level. The stand mechanism stays hidden when the wallet is closed.

Does the MagFlip Wallet support Apple Find My tracking?

No. The MagFlip Wallet does not support Apple Find My. It does not contain a tracking chip. If you want a wallet with location tracking, SUPCASE offers the MagFlip Wallet with AirTag Holder, which has a hidden compartment for an Apple AirTag (sold separately). The AirTag version can be tracked through Apple's Find My network. Check the MagSafe Wallet with AirTag Holder collection for that product.

Can I charge my phone wirelessly while the MagFlip Wallet is attached?

No. The wallet blocks the wireless charging coil when attached to the back of the phone. Remove the wallet before placing your phone on a MagSafe or Qi charger. The wallet snaps back on easily after charging thanks to its 3000g magnetic hold. If you need to charge frequently throughout the day, consider removing the wallet at your desk and reattaching it when you leave.

How strong is the magnet? Will the wallet fall off?

The MagFlip Wallet uses built-in magnets with 3000g of magnetic force — significantly stronger than the industry average of 700g–1200g. Once attached to a MagSafe-compatible case, the wallet stays firmly in place during normal daily use. It will not fall off from walking, bending, or light movement. To remove it, you need to deliberately pull it off. A few customers have noted that some cases don't hold as well. To have the strongest hold, use the wallet with a SUPCASE MagSafe-compatible case (UB Grip, UB Mag, or UB Mag XT).

Can the MagFlip Wallet hold cash?

No. The MagFlip Wallet is designed for cards only. It does not have a bill compartment or cash strap. If you carry cash, you will need a separate solution. The wallet focuses on card storage, RFID security, and stand functionality in a compact form factor.

What does the RFID-blocking card do?

The MagFlip Wallet includes one RFID-blocking card in the box. When placed inside the wallet alongside your credit cards and IDs, it prevents unauthorized wireless scanning of your card data. This protects against electronic pickpocketing and accidental contactless payments. It also helps prevent card demagnetization. Simply keep the RFID card in the outermost slot for best coverage.
